From the data, significance is best displayed by the pots with salt that amounted to 15% of the pot’s weight. Sea Salt is a great absorbent that easily removes moisture from the air surrounding the filters. In Tanzania, Sea salt is fairly inexpensive and accommodates the needs of SWAN. It’s recommended that SWAN buys seasalt locally or gather from the nearest body of salt water and boil down to just salt themselves. After salt is used as an absorbent, it’s possible to reuse the salt by adding more water and boiling it again. This gives SWAN a faster, sustainable drying process for the least amount of money and labor. SWAN can bring safe water back to its community in Tanzania more frequently.
